Actor George Clooney and the statistician Nate Silver have revealed who they think will be nominated for Democrats in 2028.
Clooney said during an interview with CNN on Wednesday that he supported Maryland Governor Wes Moore, who he welcomed as a “right leader” for processing the collapse of the Baltimore Key Bridge last year. In the meantime, Silver predicts that the progressive New York reporter Alexandria Okasio-Cortes will be a democratic choice, citing her high polls.
Silver shared his thoughts as part of his Silver newsletter Bulletin on Wednesday with the previous Fivethirtyeight The host of Podkast Galen Druk, who is currently hosting GD policy podcast. Druk also chose New York’s progressive for his best choice.
“I think there are many points in her favor at this point,” Druk noted. “In a poll in Yale, this week, AOC has the highest rating of the net’s decency of each of the Democrats they asked for.”
Druk continued to say that Ocasio-Cortez “has a broad attractiveness throughout the Democratic Party and there are many people who could potentially get on board with it.”
He added that it was “equally important” that it has “very ardent support”.
“I think many people will run in 2028 and this will be a competition for attention and will attract people who may be in your boat, find themselves and stay with you through thick and thin, and I think this is Okasio-Cortez,” Druk said. “The media is somehow obsessed with it and they will follow it every move, which means that it will be able to keep attention to it throughout the main process.”

“I agree with everything,” said Silver, founder of FivethirtyeightS “She would be my first choice … because of some of the polls; since she has this type of progressive tape, probably not to herself; because she is more than a jelly and healthy. I want to say, look in polls, if she tries to try to invade Sumer, now she is in these polls, and in New York, the Democrats are actually quite moderate.”
But the statistician noted that he was not sure he would even campaign.
“I think she’s going to run,” Druck counters. “If you have followed her moves regarding her” Fight Oligarchy “tour, with regard to the type of content she releases on social media.”
Druk claims that “she learned a lot as a politician from those early days of opposition to the Amazon, and especially those early days of” removal of ice, “which are ultimately very unpopular.”

Druk claims that Trump “serves people who are not the average voter in America in the end.”

“I think that an advantage she has in a democratic basic is that as a colorful woman she is not forced to talk about identity all the time because she is something like obviously different from any of … the white guys who move and do not have to prove his conscientiousness there,” he added. “At the same time, I think the progressives have learned [to] Stick to the economic message, because what you have to say about those social and cultural state of things in America is not popular and I think it knows this. “
Both Druk and Silver chose Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as their second most likely nominated nominee, as Druk went to former Vice President Kamala Harris for his third choice while Silver went to New Jersey Senator Corey Booker.
